Kitchen & Laundry Appliances in Sikeston, MO

Appliance purchases for most Southeast Missouri households fall into two categories: planned replacements when an appliance has aged out, and emergency replacements when something fails. We handle both — and for emergency replacements, we try to get things moving as quickly as possible, including same-week delivery and installation in most cases.

All appliances we sell are from Whirlpool. We install everything we sell. Those are the two things to know before getting into specifics.

Refrigerators

French door refrigerators put fresh food at eye level in the main compartment and the freezer in a bottom drawer. They’re the most popular configuration for households that access fresh food more frequently than frozen. The two-door fresh food compartment creates wider shelf access than a single full-width door.

Side-by-side refrigerators split the unit vertically — fresh food on the right, freezer on the left. They provide full-height access to both sections and tend to work better in kitchens with limited door-swing clearance, since neither door needs to open as wide as a full-width door.

Top-freezer refrigerators are the most mechanically reliable configuration historically, with fewer moving parts than French door or side-by-side units, and the lowest purchase price at comparable capacity. For customers who prioritize longevity and simplicity over configuration convenience, this is the practical choice.

We install water lines for ice maker and dispenser connections. If your kitchen doesn’t currently have a refrigerator water line, we can discuss what that installation requires.

Ranges

We carry electric and gas ranges in standard 30-inch widths.

Electric smooth-top ranges are easier to clean than coil element ranges and provide a flat surface that works with more cookware types. Glass-ceramic smooth-top surfaces can crack under heavy impact — cast iron cookware dropped on a smooth-top is the most common cause.

Gas ranges provide instant temperature response and tend to be preferred by people who cook frequently and value precise heat control. Gas requires an existing gas line in the kitchen — if your home currently has an electric range, adding gas involves a plumbing installation beyond what we do.

For both electric and gas, we’ll confirm oven capacity, convection availability, and control type (knobs versus digital touch) based on your preferences before recommending a specific model.

Washers and Dryers

Top-load washers with agitators are the most mechanically straightforward washers available — fewer bearings, simpler drive systems, and lower long-term repair costs than other configurations. They use more water per cycle than HE models. For households doing large volumes of laundry with heavily soiled loads, they’re the practical choice.

High-efficiency top-load washers (without agitators) use less water and are gentler on fabrics, but require high-efficiency detergent. Some HE top-loaders have longer cycle times than agitator models.

Front-load washers use the least water, are gentlest on fabrics, and can be stacked with a dryer to save floor space. They require more maintenance attention — specifically, keeping the door gasket dry to prevent mildew — and tend to have higher repair costs than top-loaders.

Dryers are simpler. The main decisions are electric versus gas (matching your existing hookup) and whether a steam cycle is worth the premium for your laundry habits.
