Dining room furniture takes more abuse than most people account for when buying it. Chairs that get pulled out and pushed in multiple times a day, tables that get bumped, spilled on, wiped down daily, and occasionally moved — they need to be built for active family use, not just for looking good on a showroom floor.

Dining Sets

We carry dining sets from Liberty Furniture and Winners Only, sized for a range of rooms. A few things that matter in a dining table selection that often get overlooked:

Table size versus room size.
The standard guideline is 36 inches of clearance from the table edge to any wall or obstruction — enough for a person to sit comfortably and push back without hitting the wall. A 60-inch table in a 10x10 dining room doesn't leave that clearance. We'll talk through your room dimensions before recommending a table size.

Extension leaves.
Most of our dining tables are available with extension leaf options. If you have a smaller household but host family gatherings, a table that extends from 60 inches to 84 inches is more practical than a permanently large table that dominates the room year-round.

Chair construction.
Dining chairs take significant stress at the leg joints where they connect to the seat frame. Mortise-and-tenon joinery at those connection points is more durable than corner block construction. We can show you the difference in our floor models.
